Canada has a wide variety of resources for producing energy. Most (58%) of all Canada's energy comes from hydro-electric generating stations. Internal Combustion is mainly used in the northern territories and in remote areas where not a lot of energy is needed. The few Tidal Power Stations are all along the east or west coast. Combustion Turbine power stations are very scarce but some are located in the maritime provinces. Steam Plants are widely used in the more southern side of Canada. The only Nuclear Plants are in southern Ontario. Wind energy is not very common but there is some at the southern tip of Alberta.
