Responsibility with Resources |

God calls us to be stewards of his creation which means we should take care of it. Obviously back in the days of creation, energy had not been discovered yet. This does not mean that there is nothing in the Bible that talks about Powering Canada. We need to read the Bible in a modern context. When God talks about taking care of our earth and living responsibly, he is talking about all things then and all things to come. In Genesis 1:26 it says "... let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." This verse shows us that God gave us the entire earth to rule over. It is tricky because we are also given the responsibility to take care of his creation. Three verses later in Genesis 1:28 God says, "...I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it." God has given humans an amazing gift! But gifts are meant to be used responsibly.
